چکیده
|
Coffee is reported to be among the most widely consumedbeverages in the world. it has effects on health via coffeecompounds which are caffeine, diterpene alcohols andchlorogenic acid. although concerns about potentialhealth risks of coffee and caffeine consumption raised byepidemiological research in the past, most recently coffeeconsumption has been associated with reductions in the riskof several chronic diseases. among the diseases that aremainly affected are cardiovascular diseases, hypertension andarrhythmia, cancer, osteoporosis and diabetes. the purpose ofthis article is to review and interpret relatively recent researchon the benefits and risks of coffee consumption in humans.
