|
The multilevel inverters are very popular especially in medium and powerful applications. in this article, a simulation was performed by designing three-level, seven-level and seventeen-level cascade h-bridge inverters. a carrier based sinusoidal pulse width modulation (spwm) technique was used for switching inverters. line to line voltages of realized three-level, seven-level and seventeen-level cascade h-bridge inverters were compared. according to the simulation results, harmonic components of line to line voltages of r-l load fed by seventeen-level cascaded h-bridge inverter were found to be lower than that of three-level and seven-level cascaded h-bridge inverter.
