   The Effect of Different Boron Practices on the Germination of Capparis spp. and Carthamuss spp. Seeds

چکیده    In this study three taxons which are economically and medically important; capparis spinosa l. var. spinosa zoh., capparis ovata desf. var. palaestina zoh. and capparis ovata desf. herbacea willd. and carthamus tinctorius l. and carthamus lanatus l. 4 of due to a total taxa seeds which are composed of different boron compounds were germinated under controlled conditions. it was detected that seeds which were germinated in potassium tetraborate environment have higher and faster germination ability compared with seeds germinated in other environments and that their germination is shorter. in the study carried out with the aim of detecting the speed and ability of seed germination, it was detected that tolerance range of seed towards boron compounds is very tiny. it is because that practices below or above detected threshold values (0,1 mg/l) do not give the expected results. it was detected that toxic effect occurred in overdose and that no germination indication occurred in the event of dose deficiency. therefore it was understood that practice of potassium tetraborate in the dose of 0,1 mg/l is the most suitable threshold value and gives the best result.
