A Soft Computing Application Based on Artificial Neural Networks Training by Particle Swarm Optimization

A software conducting the soft computing based diagnosis of breast cancer was presented in this study. this software applies particle swarm optimization (pso) and artificial neural networks (ann) techniques together. pso was used in the learning algorithm of ann which was used for classification. breast cancer data set was taken from uci (university of california, irvine)’s database. according to the experimental results of our study, the ann technique which realizes learning through pso shows a better performance.
