The in vitro Micropropagation of Some Clonal Cherry Rootstocks

In this study, where micropropagation posibilities of gisela 5, maxma 14, maxma 60 and sl 64 cherry clonal rootstocks were investigated; shoot tips were used as explant. for this purpose, explants were cultured on ms medium suplemented with different plant growth regulator combinations. the shoot numbers were changed between 2.16 and 5.08 shoots per explant for gisela 5, between 3.83 and 5.00 shoots per explant for maxma 14, between 2.33 and 5.08 shoots per explant for maxma 60 and between 3.58 and 4.16 shoots per explant for sl 64 according to treatments. the highest shoots were obtained from ms media containing 1 mg/l bap+0.02 mg/l iba+0.5 mg/l ga3 (1.44-1.50 cm) and 1 mg/l bap+0.02 mg/l iba+1 mg/l ga3 (1.43-1.61 cm).
