Comparing of Wild and Grafted Carob Trees (Ceratonia siliqua L.) in terms of Fruit and Seed Characteristics

In this study that was executed in köprülü kanyon national park, morphological characteristics of fruit and seed of wild and grafted carob trees were determinate. besides, wild and grafted carob trees were compared in terms of forms of utilization from its fruit and seeds. in the study, it was used “conscious sampling method”, five wild carob trees and five grafted carob trees were chosen. finally, it was determined grafted carob trees have had more values than wild carob trees in terms of fruit characteristics, grafted and wild carob trees have had approximate values in terms of seed characteristics.
