تبیین علل ظهور استارت آپ های فناورانه در حوزۀ بالادستیِ صنعت نفت و چالش های اختصاصی آن ها

در دهۀ 1990، با کم‌رنگ‎شدن نقش شرکت‏های بین‎المللی نفت در توسعۀ فناوری در حوزۀ بالادستی صنعت نفت، شرکت‏های خدمات میدان‎های نفتی مسئولیت شناسایی و تامین نیازهای فناورانۀ حوزۀ بالادستی صنعت نفت را عهده‏دار شدند. با توجه به ریسک و هزینۀ بالای توسعه و تجاری‎سازی فناوری‎های دارای نوآوری بنیادی، شرکت‏های خدمات میادین نفتی پیشرو به نوآوری‎های تدریجی روی آوردند. این امر زمینه را برای ورود استارت‎آپ‎های فناورانه به حوزۀ بالادستی صنعت نفت، با هدف دستیابی به نوآوری‎های غالباً بنیادی، فراهم کرده است. هم‎اکنون لبۀ فناوری، در بسیاری از حوزه‎های فناورانۀ بالادستی صنعت نفت، در اختیار تعداد زیادی از شرکت‎های کوچک دانش‎بنیان است که شکل‎گیری اغلب آن‎ها بر مبنای استارت‎آپ‎های فناورانۀ موفق بوده‎ است. استارت‎آپ‎ها، به‎منزلۀ بازوی توسعۀ فناوری‎های بنیادی در حوزۀ بالادستی صنعت نفت، در آینده توجه بیش‎از‎پیش مدیران شرکت‎های فعال در حوزۀ بالادستی صنعت نفت را به‎ خود جلب خواهند کرد.در این مقاله، پس از مروری بر روند تحول رویکردها و نقش بازیگران حوزۀ بالادستی صنعت نفت در توسعۀ فناوری، به نقش استارت‎آپ‎های بخش فناوری به‎منزلۀ محرک‎های نوآوری در حوزۀ بالادستی صنعت نفت پرداخته و به چالش‎های اختصاصی آن‎ها در این حوزه اشاره خواهد شد.

Explaining the reasons for emerging tech startups in the upstream oil industry and their specific challenges

In the 1990s, wWith the diminution of the role of international oil companies in technology development in the upstream oil industry, oilfield services companies are responsible for identifying and providing the technological needs of the upstream oil industry. Given the high risk and cost of developing and commercializing technologies with radical innovations, leading oilfield services companies are pursuing incremental innovations that have led to the emergence of tech startups to the upstream oil industry with the mission of carrying out often radical innovations. Nowadays, the edge of technology in many of the technological areas of the upstream oil industry is in the hand of a large number of small knowledgebased companies, most of which are often based on successful techstartups. In the future, startups as the arm of the development of radical technologies in the upstream oil industry are highly regarded by the managers of innovative firms in the upstream oil industry.Based on this, after reviewing the trend of changes in the approaches and the role of upstream oil industry players in technology development, this paper outline the role of tech startups as innovation engines in the upstream oil industry and their specific challenges are discussed in this area.
