مصرف آب و رشد اقتصادی در استان‌های ایران

آب به عنوان یک منبع مهم در سراسر جهان مورد توجه قرار گرفته که اهمیت ویژه‌ای در تولید دارد. با توجه به مشکل کم آبی در ایران و این امر که در سال‌های اخیر مصرف سرانه آب در اکثر استان‌ها، روند صعودی داشته، بررسی اهمیت آب در رشد اقتصادی از موضوعات مهم در استان‌های ایران است. هدف پژوهش حاضر بررسی ارتباط سیستمی بین مصرف آب و رشد اقتصادی است. برای این منظور از داده‌های 28 استان کشور طی دوره زمانی 1385 تا 1397 و تکنیک سیستم معادلات همزمان در داده‌های تابلویی استفاده شده است. نتایج حاصل از تحقیق نشان می‌دهد که تولید ناخالص داخلی واقعی نیز تاثیر مثبت و معنادار بر مصرف آب داشته است. لازم به ذکر است که منحنی زیست محیطی کوزنتس در بررسی ارتباط بین رشد و مصرف آب در 28 استان ایران در محدوده زمانی مورد بررسی تایید نشده است. همچنین متغیر مصرف آب تاثیر مثبت و معنادار بر تولید ناخالص داخلی دارد. بنابراین به سیاستمداران توصیه می‌شود که سیاستهایی در جهت تعدیل ساختار صنعتی به سمت صنایع با مصرف آب پایین و سیاست‌های صرفه‌جویی در مصرف آب را اجرا نمایند و از فناوری های جدیدتر در زمینه افزایش بهره وری آب و همچنین بهبود سیستم های انتقال آب برای محافظت از آب استفاده کنند.

water use and economic growth in iran provinces

water resources are an important issue worldwide and play a fundamental role in the ecosystem. water is a strategic economic resource that can bring systemic and long-term stability to the national economy and social development. in recent years, water shortages in many iranian cities have become a significant problem that may threaten iran’s sustainable economic development. however, despite the importance of water, it has so far been neglected in the analysis of economic growth in the provinces of iran. in this regard, the purpose of this study is to investigate the role of water in economic growth and, at the same time, the role of economic growth in water usage in the provinces of iran, considering the importance of water resources in the country’s economic growth. for this purpose, data from 28 provinces of the country during the period 2006 to 2018 and simultaneous equation system has been used. the results of the study indicate that gdp also has a significant and positive impact on water consumption. it should be noted that the kuznets environmental curve, which examines the relationship between growth and water consumption in 28 provinces of iran during the study period, has not been confirmed furthermore, the water consumption variable has a significant and positive effect gdp. therefore, policymakers are recommended to implement policies aimed at restructuring industries towards those with lower water consumption, as well as implementing water conservation policies. they should also utilize newer technologies to improve water efficiency and enhance water transmission systems to protect water resources.
