ارتباط میان رشد اقتصادی، مصرف انرژی و اقتصاد سایه در ایران

شناخت ماهیت ارتباط علّی میان مصرف انرژی و رشد اقتصادی یکی از مهم ترین و بحث برانگیزترین موضوعات در حوزه اقتصاد انرژی است که در چهار دهه اخیر توجه ویژه محققان و سیاست گذاران این حوزه را به خود جلب کرده است. این مطالعه با در نظر گرفتن بخش سایه اقتصاد، علیت گرنجری میان مصرف انرژی، رشد اقتصادی (رسمی) و رشد اقتصاد سایه را برای ایران بررسی می‌کند. بدین منظور، رویکرد خودرگرسیونی با وقفه توزیعی (ardl) برای تجزیه و تحلیل داده های سری زمانی مربوط به دوره 1394-1355 به کار گرفته شده است. نتایج حاصل از آزمون های هم انباشتگی و برآورد مدل های تصحیح خطا نشان می دهند که در هر دو افق زمانی کوتاه مدت و بلندمدت، یک ارتباط علّی دوطرفه مثبت میان مصرف انرژی و رشد اقتصادی (رسمی) وجود دارد که فرضیه بازخورد را تایید می کند. علاوه بر این، در هر دو افق زمانی کوتاه مدت و بلندمدت، علیت گرنجری یک طرفه مثبت از رشد اقتصاد سایه به مصرف انرژی و علیت گرنجری یک طرفه منفی از رشد اقتصاد سایه به رشد اقتصادی (رسمی) برقرار است. یافته های این پژوهش دلالت های سیاستی مهمی برای مدیریت مصرف انرژی و بهبود رشد اقتصادی دارند.

The relationship between economic growth, energy consumption and shadow economy in Iran

Understanding the nature of the causal relationship between energy consumption and economic growth is one of the most important and controversial issues in the field of energy economics, which has attracted the attention of researchers and policy makers in the field in the last four decades. Considering the shadow sector of the economy, this study examines Grangercausality between energy consumption, (formal) economic growth, and shadow economy growth for Iran. To this end, the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) approach is used to analyze time series data covering the period 13551395. The results of cointegration tests and estimation of error correction models indicate that there is a positive bidirectional causal relationship between energy consumption and economic growth in both shortrun and longrun, confirming the feedback hypothesis. In addition, there is a positive unidirectional Grangercausality running from shadow economy growth to energy consumption and a negative unidirectional Grangercausality running from shadow economy growth to (formal) economic growth in both shortrun and longrun. The findings of this study would have important policy implications for the management of energy consumption and the improvement of economic growth.
