|
Music is an aesthetic whole composed of sounds combined with a certain purpose and method and processed according to a certain understanding of beauty. johann sebastian bach, who lived in the baroque period, was one of the most famous organists. bach's two- and three-voice inventions are mostly educational in purpose. the phenomenon of invention” is hidden in the structural features of each composer's work. this study aims to create a geometric modeling of j.s. bach’s musical exercise, the two part invention in a minör, by mathematical coding. the sound pitches and time values of the selected composition were mathematically coded, and a regression analysis was performed to find the appropriate model. data analysis revealed the geometry modeling of the regression equation. this equation consists of a combination of algebraic, trigonometric, inverse trigonometric and exponential functions.
