This study aims to investigate whether mindfulness and attention training has any effect on the attention of students with no problems (dyslexia, hyperactivity, attention deficit, etc.) the study was designed according to the single group pre-test – post-test experimental model. the sample consisted of students who were fourth grade in 2014-2015, and fifth grade in the 2015-2016 academic year at ankara tevfik fikret elementary school and middle school. the data were collected by means of the letter form of the bourdon attention test, teacher observation form and student self-assessment form. the data obtained from each measurement means were analyzed by means of variance analysis technique for repeated data. results of the study showed that the mean scores gathered from the bourdon attention test, the self-assessment forms and the teacher observation forms of the students who received mindfulness and attention training over two academic years increased significantly according to the periods. moreover, the increase in the mindfulness and duration of attention education of the students caused the levels of attention to increase.
