Strategic Analysis in Agricultural Enterprises: the Case of Erzurum Province

The aim of this study is to contribute to the related literature by making strategic analysis of agricultural enterprises. for this purpose, research has been done on 10 agricultural enterprises in the province of erzurum. swot analysis technique was used to identify the strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats of agricultural enterprises. 4 strategies have been developed using swot analysis data. opinions of 63 experts were consulted in grading the developed strategies and swot analysis factors. as a result of the analysis, it has been determined that the most appropriate strategies for agricultural enterprises are “(1) training of agricultural entrepreneurs to increase the productivity of agricultural lands” and “(2) orientation of the capitalists to establish or support organic farming enterprises”. in this context, it is suggested that trainings aimed at preventing unconscious agriculture and some incentives to expand organic agriculture should be offered.
