In the study the effects of taraxacum officinale l. and hypericum scabrum l. extract added to ration on some biochemical parameters in heat-stressed broilers. atotal of 96 broiler chicks were used in this study. 1. group: control group was fed with unsupplemented basal diets; 2. group: toe group was supplemented t. officinale l. extract % 0,1 3. group: hse group was supplemented h. scabrum l. extract ekstraktı % 0,1, 4. group: stress group (s) was exposed to heat 38-39°c stress for a period of 15 days, 5. group: stress+toe (stoe) was exposed to heat 38-39°c stress for a period of 15 days + t. officinale l.extract % 0,1 6. gorup: stress+hse (shse) ) was exposed to heat 38-39°c stress for a period of 15 days + h. scabrum l.extract % 0,1. the experimental period lasted 45 days. plant extract was supplemented to toe, hse, stoe and shse from 8th day after broilers were provided its adaptation for 7 days. broilers were exposed to heat 38-39°c s, stoe and shse groups from the 15th to 30th days. plasma alt, ast, glu, mda, cortisol and liver mda were increased, plasma tp, chol, tg, hdl-c, liver sod,gsh and catalase were decreased, plasma ldl-c was no difference in s group compared with control group. plasma the resultsdemonstrated that toe and hse were protective effect on liver and decreased blood glucose; hse was affected on positive effects on chollesterol level in broiler. as a result, the plant extract is demonstrated that, with the addition of broiler diets, it might have positive effects on animal health, though the negative effects of heat stress.
