Determining the Economic Value of Benefiting from Adıyaman Nemrut Mountain National Park for Recreational and Travel Purposes: Travel Costs Application

This study aims at determining the economic value of nemrut mountain national park in adıyaman province for recreational and tourism purposes. the main material of the study consists of face-to-face surveys conducted for this purpose with 100 people who visited nemrut mountain national park. travel cost method was used in this study to determine the economic value of nemrut mountain natural park. internal layered structure- and cut-relieving endogenous poisson model and the negative binomial models were used. the number of annual visits was choosen as the dependent variable in the model. as for the independent variables; visitors‟ gender, age, marital status, home ownership status, education, second job, annual income, social security, nature index, information index, travel distance, car ownership status of visitors both from adıyaman and other provinces. the mean surplus value of each visitors was found as 177.14 tl per trip.
