Baby Care Applications of Mothers and the Acting Factors of These Applications: A Sample on Kapadokya

Our aim in this research is to determine baby care applications of mothers and acting these factors. in this study was used by descriptive research model, and studied 0-11 monthly infant’s (320) mothers at which registered to village clinic within boundaries of municipality. the mothers who accepted to take part in the research was applied to survey sheet and evaluated data by means of descriptive statistics and chickaree tests. 6,3% of the mothers gave birth at home, 74,7% of the mothers fed to infants by breast milk as initial food,54,1% suckled to infants within first one hour. in the acquiring to these attitudes, affected midwife-nurses’s offers, the mothers who born through cesarean fed to infants late, and used formula feeding. in the infants, gas pain, scurf, thrush, diaper rash was shown. the fathers who had high level education more participated in baby care. in the baby care, the mothers had traditional applications such as swaddle, wrapping with soil, salting. as a result, proposed to mothers training with respect to baby care and their nutrition.
