The Determination of the Behaviours Ahout Family Planning of the Women

This study is a descriptive one, and it is carried out with the aim of display the behaviours about family planning and fertility characteristies of the women. the study field consisted of the women applying for an university hospital of gynecology polyclinic between 17 october 2007 and 18 january 2008. the sampling consisted of 424 women who can speak turkish and able to comminicate and married and chosen by improbable randomized sampling method in mentioned dates. the data were collected by means of question form and family planning behaviour scale. in the evaluation of the dala, percentege, t-test and one-way variance analysis were used. it was found out that mean age of the women participating in the study was 31.42+7.95 and mean total pregnancy number was 2+0.97 and that mean abortion number was 3.23+1.18, and the number of five birth was 2+1.11. it w as found out that the women took 51.88+0.52 points from the sub-dimension of behaviour of the sociely aboul family planning and 36.72±0.29. it was found that point from sub-dimension of the behavior about family planning methods, and 28.73+0.26 points from sub-dimension of behaviour about the labor. while the highet score average which will be taken from family planning behaviour scale was 152, it was found out that total score average of participating was 114.11+0.91. under the light of this result, it can be said that the behaviours of the women about family planning was not desirable level.
