چکیده    Glazed bricks and tiles have always existed in turkish architecture with its increasing and decreasing usages. being acquainted with tile, brick gypsum and stone materials, even before coming to anatolia, turks have gained the power and inspiration of rendering. springing over from the habit of use in tiny materials, mounting technique, being started to be used in architecture at once is just an embodied sample of this power and passion. following beyliks’, seljukians also continued the tradition of creating and passion with different materials. during seljukian and beyliks’ periods, tiles are observed to have formed composition by mounting on three materials which are stone, gypsum and brick. main characteristics of those tiles are that they are in one-colored, under glazing and tile mosaic techniques. re-discovering and researching this forgotten technique for new alternatives and uses may give favorable outcomes in contemporary ceramics art.
