چکیده
|
Theatre and illustrations are the representative arts that tell the same story in two different ways. they offer unique possibilities to create a magical atmosphere when they come together strongly. the present study is on vladislav yerko’s hamlet illustrations that have created this atmosphere. the source of the illustrations is hamlet. this non-coincident encounter in the present time is related to how shakespeare’s characters and events are visually interpreted by vladislav yerko as well as how he has transferred the meaning to the present time in an artistic context. in this context, both the production process of work and the historical past of the work until today, as well as the process of visual translation will be taken into consideration and the traces of the past of this artistic context will be examined. the illustrations, which emphasize the metaphorical nature of hamlet, are allegorical and introspective visualizations. since the visualization of a text is concerned, the illustrations, which will be related to how the semantic reality of the text is conveyed, are handled with an approach based on art criticism theory, but they also include the emotional journey of watching hamlet in another context.
