An Assessment and Evaluation on the Teaching Staff Attitudes Towards Art (Karadeniz Technical University Sample)

In this study, it was tried to determine the attitudes of the academic staff working at karadeniz technical university towards art. the opinions of faculty members grouped according to the departments of the faculties were tried to be determined and the results were tried to be interpreted in the direction of these opinions. in the study, the scale to determine the opinions about art developed by the researchers was used. in the scale there are proposals for the importance of art, its necessity, and expressions about the pleasure of art. the answers given by the instructors to the scale were interpreted through various statistical procedures. as a result of the analysis, it is understood that the general attitude of the instructors towards art is positive. no significant differences were found in comparative measures for variables such as faculty, gender, seniority, age, and title. the overall positive attitudes obtained from the analysis were evaluated as a general distribution regardless of variables in all participants.
