   Perceptions of Learners and Foreign Language Teachers on Virtual Classroom in the Light of New Technologies

چکیده    In foreign language teaching / learning, the development of verbal language skills of students depends on the presence of interactive environments. if the interaction of learners with each other or with the teacher in the classroom turns to the interaction with a native speaker by the development of technology, communicative skills will develop much more quickly. this research aims to determine in the light of new technologies the perceptions of learners and teachers on the virtual classroom with video conferencing system in foreign language teaching. the sample of the research consists of 109 participants consisting of 58 students from 5 public schools and 51 teachers from 17 public schools in different socioeconomic levels connected to the ministry of national education. in research, two different 8-item, five point graded likert-type educational actors' attitude scale towards virtual classroom practice was used and applied to participants foreign language students and teachers separately. the reliability results of the scale prepared for the students were determined as cronbach alpha = 0.77 and for the teachers cronbach alpha = 0.82. the obtained data were analyzed by descriptive and content analysis. educational actors believe that virtual classes will improve learners' oral language skills on a foreign language, increase their motivation, and change traditional understandings of language teaching. when learners consider that the need for turkish language teacher will decrease in the future by the virtual classrooms, teachers are opposed to this idea.
