چکیده    The areas of usage of thread which have diversified and increased with the help of changing technology for thousands of years have always put it forward as an important and precious material. thread has acted as a splicer as well as an ornament in the areas it is used ranging from clothes to pots since humanity’s struggle with nature. the art of embroidery, which is defined as ornaments made on materials such as felt, leather, fabric etc. by using threads made of silk, wool, linen, metal etc. by means of a variety of needles and application styles, is an identity that conveys every society’s own character, color, tissue and design. this identity has shown changes in terms of improvements in embroidery techniques, the variety in needles, geographical, social and economic conditions, esthetical values and has become varied and come until today. today, embroidery has become an element that has become varied with different materials it is applied on such as metal, wood and ceramics and that contemporary artists use in their works. this article addresses domestic and foreign contemporary ceramics artists who embroider ceramic pots and pans and surfaces by using threads made of silk, wool, linen, cotton, metal etc. and it limits its focus on the reflection of these artists on their works. within this context, it aims to convey the subject through the works of ceramics artists within this approach by scrutinizing the technical and intellectual aspects of these works.
