Juvenile Delinquency from the Perspective of a Juvenile Pushed to Crime: Case Report

In turkey, the case of juvenile delinquency is generally tackled within the scope of structural and sociodemographic factors with descriptive researches. qualitative researches based on children’s perspectives and experiences are limited. in this study, the case of juvenile delinquency has been handled from the perspective of a juvenile involved in crime and litigation process of whom keeps on, and within the findings that have been obtained from the 50 minutes regular interviews once a week during 12 weeks at his school . within the study, the parents and teachers of the juvenile have also been kept in touch and a promotive environment has been tried to create. a therapeutic relationship based on trust between the interviewer and the juvenile has contributed him to be aware of his negative emotions such as worthlessness and hopelessnes, to find out cause and effect relation between his emotions and thoughts and provided him to strengthen psychologically. with a systemic understanding, an approach that has focused on the juvenile’s strong sides has had a positive impact on him. in a way compatible with literature, negative relationships in family are thought to be among the main reasons that lead the juvenile to push crime.having supportive relations of a juvenile pushed to crime by experiencing to be understood and feeling safe has provided him to progress by restoring his past negative livings and to control his negative feelings that may lead violence.
