The Assessment of Situation Analysis of Faculties of Economics and Administrative Sciences by Student Perception

The number of the feas has increased substantially in parallel to the increase in the number of universities in the last ten years in turkey. this rapid increase in the number of the feas has led to a serious competition between the faculties especially located in the eastern regions of turkey. the way to survive in a competitive environment is to possibly create differences by making strategic foresight. in this context, it is needed to analyze of the present situation of higher education institutions to have strategic foresight. in this study the current situation assessment that will provide insight for strategic planning of the faculty of economics and administrative sciences that have an important place in higher education institutions has been analyzed by the using the main principles of swot analysis. it is intended to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of faculty of economics and administrative sciences in turkey with this method. in order to put forward a realistic assessment of each dimension of this analysis, it is asked the views of students who are the most important interest group of universities. in this context, fivepoint likert scale was applied to 526 students of ataturk university, erzurum technical university and kafkas university faculty of economics by preparing a questionnaire. suggestions were made by subjecting result to statistical analysis
