An Analysis of the Effect of Development Plans to Reduce Poverty

In 1980, along with the change in the philosophy of development, poverty has become the first priority of the agenda for the organizations such as the imf and world bank. the concept of development has a multifaceted character such as economic, social and political variables. thus poverty, poverty alleviation and justice in the distribution of income began to take place in the main objectives of development. planned development in turkey started in 1963, as the first five-year development plan. with development plans, important progress has occured in terms of economic and social areas in society. this study investigates the relationship between development plans and poverty. gdp and poverty data were analyzed by regression.
