   The South Caucasus Policy of Putin Administration

چکیده    Vladimir putin, who took a sit to the chair of prime ministry in 1999 and to the chair of presidency in 2000, has made major alterations in the russian foreign policy. the success ensured primarily in the field of economy reverberated to the russian foreign policy, and thus a more active foreign policy was followed. the most significant dimension of the overhaul experienced the russian foreign policy is observed in the relations of russia with the western world. russia being no more dependent upon economical aids of west is now competing with western world in many areas. on the other hand, the relations of russia with the commonwealth of independent states (cis) was nested to a new ground. within the cis, three south caucasus countries in particular have a particular place in the russian foreign politicy. in the present study, the policies which russia developed towards the three countries in the south caucasus are analyzed in the putin period.
