BUDAPEST MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS - A MUSEUM OF PASSION

Story of a museum presents important information for art about what the life priorities of a society that appreciates art and culture can be. the history of budapest museum of fine arts presents us such a story. in fact, it is a project which was accomplished by a father-son of hungarian origin. when ferenc pulszky realised the importance of museums in england, he turned into idea of making such an important art and culture flow in his homeland. later, his son karoly pulszky serves as the museum director and turns the museum into a real art history encyclopedia by the successful purchasing policy of artistic collections. the collection of museum consists of 6 parts; egypt artistic collection, classical archaic age collection, masters collection, old sculpture collection, print and drawing collection and art after 1800 collection. along with artists such as dürer, el greco, goy, rembrandt, rubens,velazquez, delacroix, manet, monet, cezanne and gauguin; as a turkish artist/academician, hasan pekmezci has an art work in the collections as well. the museum continues/will continue to endure its life as a place where the most unique works of the artists bearing witness to the era meet with their viewers.
