چکیده
|
Reed weaving is a kind of handicraft in central asia since ancient times. used by the people who lived in central asia. in nomadic communities, it was used inside and outside of the tent for various purposes. at first it began to be woven according to the need but later it was also used for decoration. it became richer by the use of motifs and patterns. the most important factor that reed weaving has been reached the present day is its use for decorative purposes. şiğ (reed) weaving art reflects a unique weaving technique. its composition is structured by wrapping yarn or wool which is collected and dried depending on certain conditions in the fall and dyed in various colors on reed. it is widely used by the kazakh and the kyrgyz. there are courses and exhibitions organized in kazakhstan in order to develop this weaving technique, which is seen as one of the national handicrafts.
