The Attıtudes of Pre-Servıce Turkısh Teacher Towards Readıng

This study intends to determine prospective teachers’ -who study in ege university faculty of education turkish education licence programme- attitudes towards reading according to their gender. in this study, 142 prospective teachers’ (94 female and 48 male) attitudes were evaluated. opinion related subdimension of reading (likeness, habit, necessity, desire, effect, usefulness) were examined. from these subdimensions significant differences was observed on only usefulness in the favor of female prospective teachers. no significant differences were observed in other subdimensions of reading (likeness, desire, habit,necessity, effect) between male and female
