Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Translation

Artificial intelligence, which is one of today's most interesting research areas and which has discussed in different ways by many different disciplines, is one of the important research issues for the translation too. indeed, while advances in information and communication technology are eliminating the boundaries between nations, translation issues are a problem still exists. one of the resources referred by the scientists who want to overcome this problem is the artificial intelligence. in this study, the reflections of artificial intelligence research on translation, is discussed. intelligence and artificial intelligence concepts are emphasized in the first part of the study. in the second part, the studies in the field of artificial intelligence from the past to the present day are examined and the emergence of the concept is described. artificial intelligence applications in the field of translation are discussed in the third section and tried to put forward the point reached as of today. at the end of the study, it is observed that the studies related to artificial intelligence in the translation field increase every day, but the results obtained are not yet, in spite of this the steps taken are underestimated steps
