Sarıkamış (Micingert) War of Georgian Queen Tamara (23-31 July 1202)

This research includes the information about reasons of the war in 1202 between anatolian seljuk monarch ii. rükneddin solomon (süleyman) and queen of georgia tamara (1160-1213) according to fundamental resources. it is also an important event. . tamara's fame increased after the war. if the seljuk sultan will be dropped from the agenda. the emotional part of the real reason of the war is intriguing. the queen of georgia tamara who is known with her beauty (1184-1212) sends an artist to seljuk sultan ii.kılıç aslan’s (1155-1192) palace where she hears of living handsome sons of the sultan and somehow she gets their portraits. when she likes most süleyman among kılıç aslan’s 12 sons, she writes a letter to kılıç aslan and declares that she wants to marry süleyman and if this marriage happens he can dominate the whole georgia lands. she has only one condition which is süleyman should change his religion into christianity. ii.kılıç aslan leans towards this proposal, but rühneddin süleyman totally rejects it. when süleyman who never forgets this event, comes the throne, he comes to erzurum for taking his revenge. he writes to tamara and announces his coming. both armies fight in micingert castle on a place called boloski (1202). the winner tamara gets lots of booty. for preface of the following event that we write, according to reference books, is all.
