   INVESTIGATION OF MOTIVATION LEVELS OF TRAINEE TEACHERS IN TERMS OF GENDER VARIABLE

چکیده    In this study, it was aimed to investigate the motivation levels in terms of gender variable of trainee teachers who started to duty new. the universe of the research is composed of 170 trainee teachers working in the districts of adilcevaz, ahlat and tatvan, mainly in bitlis center in the 2015- 2016 academic year. the research was designed in a scanning model. in the study 4 sub- dimensions and 14- item work motivation scale, developed by aksoy (2006) and adapted by yılmaz (2009) was used as data collection tool. in the first part of the questionnaire, only gender was asked as a personal information questionnaire. in the second part, the statements related to the motivation are included. 200 questionnaires were taken to the schools and distributed to the teachers by the researcher and feedback of 170 questionnaires were provided. the data obtained at the end of the study were analyzed using spss 24.00 for windows program. t- test analysis was performed to determine the levels of perception of trainee teachers for work motivation. trainee teachers' perception levels of work motivation were detected as moderate and high. the highest score was obtained from the institutional commitment dimension. according to the gender variable, the perceptions of trainee teachers were found statistically significant in the integrated with job sub-dimension. female teachers' perceptions are higher than male teachers’.
