   THE EFFECT OF USING THE LAYERED CURRICULUM METHOD IN MATHEMATICS LESSON UPON STUDENTS’ AFFECTIVE DEVELOPMENT

چکیده    The aim of this research is to examine the effect of the layered curriculum method on the sixth grade students’ attitudes toward mathematics lesson. the research was carried out in a state secondary school in the second semester of 2014-2015 academic years. the participants of the study were in total 107 sixth grade students, 36 in experimental group, 34 in control-1 group and 37 in control-2 group. quasi-experimental research design with a pre- and post-test and a paired control group was used in the study. students in the experimental group were taught according to the layered curriculum method, while in control groups students were taught based on the lecture and question-answer methods. the mathematics attitudes scale was used as pre-test and post-test in the application was lasted in four weeks. as a result of the research, it is indicated that layered curriculum method is more effective than the lecture and question-answer methods on attitudes of students.
