   ANALYSIS OF MULTICULTURALISM AND DEMOCRATIC ATTITUDE OF ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY GRADE TEACHERS IN THE SENSE OF VARIOUS VARIABLES

چکیده    The aim of this study is determine the relation between gender, age, branch, rank, settlement and school type variables of teachers working in meb in different branches and their skill of multiculturalism and democratic attitude. in the study, scanning method which is one of the quantitative research approaches was used. in the study, non-random sampling method was used. the universe of study was composed of 118 female, 120 male and 238 teachers in total who serve at 10 elementary and 8 secondary schools which is 18 different schools affiliated to meb in sivas in 2014-2015 academic year. in the study, “multicultural education attitude scale for teachers” which was developed by yazıcı, başol and toprak (2009) and “teacher democratic attitude scale” which was developed by gözütok (1995) were used by taking required permissions. kolmogorov-smirnov (ks), arithmetic mean, standard deviation, independent t test, anova, spearman brown correlation coefficient were used in the analysis of the research data. it was determined that multicultural attitudes of teachers were significantly different according to gender, branch and school type variables and democratic attitudes were different according to gender, age, branch, seniority, school type and settlement unit variables. the relationship between the multicultural education attitudes and the democratic attitudes of primary and secondary school teachers is seen as a very low relationship on the negative side.
