چکیده    The utilization rate of organizational memory is the most important component that makes shorter the process of organizational success. however, organizations are unconscious of capability of their organizational memory or they may not maintain sufficiently their organizational memory. this impedes the process of organizational success and influences it unfavorably. it is argued that organizations have a natural tendency to forget. it means that they are quite vulnerable to amnesia. organizational amnesia (oa) is a concept that is defined as the restriction of requried improvement ability to organizational learning capability or as the failure to utilize knowladge that has taken place to create value. organizational amnesia arised as a result of losing organizational competencies and repeating mistakes with falling effectiveness. taking these facts of organizational memory into consideration, the aim of this study is to investigate the awareness of the losing organizational memory and to determine arrangements and applications to maintain organizational memory. for this purpose, an organizational amnesia that happened in an international textile firm specified by the istanbul chamber of industry as turkey’s first top 500 industrial firms, and developments and dispositions linked this amnesia were examined.
