TÜRKİYE’NİN CARİ İŞLEMLER AÇIKLARININ SÜRDÜRÜLEBİLİRLİĞİ: ZAMANLARARASI DIŞ BÜTÇE KISITININ GÖSTERGELERİ

Turkish economy has dereguonatilized capital mobilities to financing to trade deficits in 1989. in this context, it has financed current account deficits with a funding model which based low rate-high interest. this funding model, gradually, has given rise to current account deficits. and, turkish economy has experienced 1994 and 2001 economic crises. the aim of this study is demostrate if current account deficits has impend foreign trade policy of turkey. so, theory of intertemporal budget constraints is applied to current account deficits of turkey for 1992:01-2009:02 and 2001:12-2009:02 periods. obtained evidence, particullary after 2001 economic crises, has demostrated that current account deficits has rised continously. and, through 2001:12–2009:02 period, long term relation of current account series are disappeared.
