چکیده
|
Biomechanics is a science dealing with the the effectiveness of internal and external forces of the living beings. in dentistry, this field is named as dental biophysics. when a tooth is restored with any restoration material, tooth-restoration complex will have the similar biophysical effects with the tooth itself. the different modulus of elasticity and different thermal expansion coefficients of the teeth and the restoration materials might adversly affect the clinical performance of the restorations and particularly cause troubles on the tooth-restoration interface. the aim of the laboratory experiments is to possess a foresight of the long-term clinical behaviours of the dental materials. this study presents the thermal and the loading cycle testing procedures which considerably contributes to enhancing the clinical performance of the dental materials by investigating the reasons of the failures.
