DENTIGEROUS CYSTS IN THE MIXED DENTITION: REPORT OF THREE CASES

چکیده
|
Dentigerous cysts are developmental benign lesions of the jaws which generally occur in association with unerupted teeth. most of these lesions are asymp- tomatic and commonly detected during routine radiological examination. in addition, dentigerous cysts have been noted in all ages. however, in the mixed dentition phase (6 to 12 years) special consideration should be given because of the risk of damage to the developing permanent teeth. in this paper, three cases of infected dentige- rous cyst in mixed dentition were reported. in addition, we aimed to emphases the importance of conservative approaches for dentigerous cysts in children and to discuss treatment methods under the light of the literature.
