IRRIGATION ACTIVATION METHODS IN ENDODONTICS

Until today, with technological advances in endodontics, many different irrigation delivery and agitation techniques have been developed in order to increase the success of a root canal treatment. these systems categorize as manual or mechanical agitation techniques. since its introduction, these systems has become increasingly more useful in clinical applications such as delivering of irrigation solutions to the root canal, removing debris smear layer from root cannal. the aim of this review is to summarize and discuss the available information concerning present irrigant agitation methods available in endodontics and to provide a critique of irrigation methods and their debridement efficacy in endodontics.
