چکیده
|
Microorganisms play a major role in initiation and progression of pulpal and periapical diseases. elimination of microorganism in root canal system is main objective of endodontic treatments. the use of mechanical instrumentation and antimicrobial irrigation solutions are important to reach this goal. sodium hypochlorite which is commonly used in root canal treatment, is a non-specific proteolytic antimicrobial agent. the purpose of this article, to review different properties and applications of sodium hypochlorite in endodontics.
