چکیده    The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of different irrigation solutions on apical sealing of a bioceramic based root canal sealers. eighty-three extracted human maxillary and mandibular teeth with single straight root canals were selected in this study. the root canals were instrumented with crown-down technique using mtwo rotary system up to #40 size file. root canals were irrigated with 2ml of 2,5% naocl and 2 ml distilled water after each instrument. the specimens were randomly divided into five groups (n:15 each) according to final irrigation solutions [5% naocl, 1,3% naocl + mtad, 5% edta, propolis, 2% chlorhexidine (chx)]. and also, 8 teeth were randomly used as negative and positive control. root canals were obturated with lateral condensation technique using gutta-percha and bioceramic based root canal sealer. the specimens were placed in rhodomine-b dye solution and centrifuged at 30 g for 5 minutes and the sections were evaluated using stereomicroscope. the highest levels were determined in propolis and chx groups, although the least levels were obtained from mtad and edta groups. the difference in leakage levels between mtad, naocl and edta groups and propolis and chx groups were statistically significant (p<0,05). in conclusion, using of chelating agent has advantages of improving apical sealing of bioceramic root canal sealer.
