THE EVALUATION OF COMPONENTS OF FRAMEWORK PROSTHESIS MADE IN DIFFERENT PROSTHODONTICS LABORATORIES BY XRF-SPECTROSCOPY

In dental laboratories, the alloy which remains from the first cast is often reused and other restorations are made with the new alloy addition. the repeated process of casting can change the chemical components and and micro-structures of alloys. in this study, the components of framework samples which were made in six different dental laboratories which work with our faculty were evaluated by use of xrf spectroscopy. duplicated models obtained from the measurement taken from the lower jaw of a partial toothless patient, by having been sent to six different laboratories, framework prothesis was prepared and by xrf spectroscopy current components were determined. components of prothesis prepared in laboratories when compared to orginal component it has been determined that in all framework prothesis chrome rate has decreased and some elements were lost.
