|
Prosthetics rehabilitation of the missing tooth includes; conventional 3-unit fixed partial denture, resin-bonded appliance with a metal substructure (maryland bridge), removable partial denture or implant prosthesis. fiber reinforced resin-bonded bridges can be a good alternative to conventional prosthetic restorations. indications for this type of service include: periodontally compromised abutments, tooth loss from trauma and fixed provisional during the post-implant healing phase before loading. the fiber reinforced resin-bonded bridge restorations were esthetic applications, concurrently conservative approaches. furthermore saving of time, reduction of cost, ease of application, absence of metal allergy are other advantages. development of adhesive technology, fiber and composite materials were offer esthetic prosthetic application and conservative treatment. a 41-year-old man was applied to department of prosthetic dentistry, faculty of dentistry, university of atatürk who had missing upper right lateral incisor and alveolar bone loss. the treatment was planned with fiber reinforced resin bonded bridge as a conservative approach. irreversible hydrocolloid material used to made impression of teeth, and cast with dental stone. suitable lateral incisor was prepared with indirect technique. then fiber reinforced resin- bonded bridge cemented with adhesive technique to palatinal areas of right central and canine teeth of maxilla.
