THE USE OF CEROMER SYSTEMS IN PROSTHETIC DENTISTRY

With the increasing expectations of esthetics in dentistry day by day and by the help of the latest developments in resin chemistry, the use of new generation composites that have improved physical and mechanical properties has increased. especially, hybrid composite resins reinforced with ceramic fillers and also called ceromers can be used in inlays and onlays restorations, fixed and removable dentures, implant-supported restorations, progressive loading protocols and for maintaining the contours of gingiva. this literature review discusses the advantages, disadvantages, indications, contraindications and applications of ceromers which are gaining popularity in dentistry.
