چکیده    Purpose: the aim of this study was to evaluate the biocompatibility of subcutaneous white-mineral trioxide aggregate and bioaggregate implants in rats. material and methods: white-mineral trioxide aggregate and bioaggregate were implanted in polyethylene tubules in the subcutaneous tissues of 60 male rats and levels of inflammatory reactions against these materials were assessed on the 7th, 15th, 30th, and 60th days. the statistical analyses of obtained data were performed using kruskal-wallis and dunn’s multiple comparison tests. results: there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of average inflammatory reaction levels in all experimental periods (p>0.05). when the levels of inflammatory reactions were evaluated according to day intervals, the lowest inflammatory reaction level was determined on the 60th day, but the difference was only significant with the 7th and 15th days (p<0.05). conclusion: it is suggested that bioaggregate has similar biocompatibility to white-mineral trioxide aggregate
