PROSTHETIC REHABILITATION PATIENTS WITH ECTODERMAL DYSPLASIA:CASE REPORT

Ectodermal dysplasia (ed), shows recessive transition depending on x, rarely seen hereditary disease. in ed cases, due to ectoderm originated organs and tissues developmental defects, anadontia, hypodontia, conical teeth, less development in crest, vertical size loss are seen. furthermore, hair, eyebrows, eyelashes,and less than fine. skin is smooth, dry, forehead and lips are protruding, nose is collapsed. there are fine wrinkles around the eyes and mouth. moreover, in young patients it would be appropriate to modify prosthodontic treatment due to their teeth and chin development .dependent with conically teeth which effects retention negatively, overdenture prothesis are adviced. presented case report shows that this syndrome rarely appears in women and due to overdenture prothesis hold with soft lining item this approach is thought as interesting.
