   Pre-service teachers’ perception of self-efficacy and academic delay of gratification

چکیده    This research investigates the relationship between prospective teachers’ self-efficacy perceptions and their levels of academic delay of gratification. the universe of the study consists of prospective teachers enrolled at abant izzet baysal university in 2012-2013 educational year. random sampling method has been utilised to select the participants and 825 prospective teachers participated in the study. according to the results of the study, mean of their self-efficacy beliefs was found to be 3,81 and their mean of academic delay of gratification was found to be 2,62. there is a statistically significance when the ratings of scales and prospective teachers’ demographic variables are considered. also, the is a statistically significant and positive relationship between prospective teaches’ self-efficacy beliefs and their level of academic delay of gratification.
