ADAPTATION OF THE MEASURE OF CREATIVE THINKING IN MUSIC FOR USE IN TURKEY

In this research, the aim is to carry out the language translation, validity and reliability studies of the measure of creative thinking in music (mctm), developed by peter r. webster. parallel to these aims, at first the language translation of the mctm was provided, then reliability and validity studies were completed with a study group, consisting of 102 (3rd and 4th grade) students. within the context of these studies; a survey of demographic information torrance tests of creative thinking, the test of thinking creatively with sounds and words was used with mctm. the results revealed that the mctm has reliability and validity in turkey conditions.
