The organizational behavior of hypocrisy in educational institutions should be questioned and conceptual understanding related to this behavior should be established. in this context, the aim of the study is to determine teachers’ opinions about organizational hypocritical behavior in educational institutions. this study uses the phenomenology pattern to reveal the events teachers have experienced in their schools related to organizational hypocrisy and the meaning they attribute to these events. the aim of using the phenomenology pattern is to interpret teachers’ opinions with respect to the dimensions of organizational hypocrisy in terms of keeping promises, harmony of the school’s internal structure with the environment, and consistency in practices. the study uses the criterion sampling method, a purposive sampling method preferred in qualitative research. one criterion is that the teachers are required to have worked in the same school for at least three years. the study data have been collected using the semi-structured interview technique, which are then analyzed using the method of content analysis, a qualitative data analysis method. the study examines teachers’ perceptions of organizational hypocrisy by dividing them into the two themes of promises made by school management, consistency in practices, and harmony between the school’s internal structure and environment. the results show school management to not fulfill their given promises, schools to reflect the values of the society, and teachers to not implement the programs that had been arranged in accordance with school aims.
