The Validity and Reliability Study of the Short Form of the Personal Meaning Profile Scale

This study is a study by macdonald, wong and gingras (2012) to adapt the “personal meaning profile short form” to turkish, aiming to reveal what constitutes the meanings of individuals in their lives. in this study, the reliability and validity values in a comprehensive manner are presented in detail. dfa work has reached 336 participants. as a result of the analyzes made, 7 factorial structure (self-transcendence, closeness, religion, success, relationship, fair treatment, self-acceptance), which is the original state of scale, has been verified. however, the criteriondependent validity was calculated by using the meaningful life scale (sad). more than 104 participants have been reached for this. as a result of the reliability analyzes, the cronbach’s alpha coefficient for the whole scale was calculated as 837. the findings obtained in the context of this study indicate that the adaptation study has sufficient validity and reliability values for use in turkish.
