Neck metastasis of endometrioid type endometrial adenocarcinoma: A case report

Metastatic neck masses frequently arise from the larynx, nasopharynx, hypopharynx, oral cavity and thyroid malignancies. spreading of endometrial adenocarcinoma to the neck as a distant organ metastasis is quite rare. in this case report, we present a patient with complaint of neck mass who underwent surgery for endometrial adenocarcinoma one year ago and recieved chemora- diotherapy postoperatively. fine needle aspiration biopsy revealed inadequate result for an optimal pathological evaluation due to the diffuse necrotic tissue content. incisional biopsy revealed endometrioid type endometrial adenocarcinoma metastasis to the neck. this is the first reported case of the endometrioid type endometrial adenocarcinoma metastasis to the neck region.
